Gentlemen:

Something startling and new has occurred...in my relationship with the UFO intelligences (Si's) and I thought I should relay it on to you.

For years...in causing storms and lightning-attacks on areas...the Si's have had me extend my fingers toward the sky and "see" in my mind bolts of lightning flashing out of my extended fingers toward the sky. There is more to it, but that's enough to tell you about that.  
Several days ago...standing outside and extending my hand toward the sky and preparing to bring more rain to now-soggy and groggy and inundated Virginia...the Si's stopped me. They communicated that my mind HAD REACHED A NEW PHASE OF DEVELOPMENT. They seemed to be quite pleased about it. As if I had "graduated" from something less to something more. They told me...from now on to just look at the sky, and I would be able to "see" lightning bolts flashing out of my eyes at the sky. They said my brain had new power of some sort, now. That I was "different now."

They also warned me...to be sure NOT to ever look at any person or living thing...and "see" the lightning bolts flashing from my eyes. That it would destroy that person or living thing.

They told me that I had had so much experience by now...in controlling the various other-dimensional effects...that they felt it was quite safe to trust me in this regard; i.e., not to lose my temper and use the lightning bolts from the eyes on some trivial argument or even fight with some human or humans. Or to use it in any wrong way, for that matter.

What impressed me was: their emotion over this development. Ordinarily the Si's do not reflect an emotion...and didn't think their ever having reflected an emotion...and didn't think they were capable of it. But this development seemed to be something very big to them. My own impression: they are leading me, taking me, step by step, upwards on some kind of scale...to see how much power of theirs a human can contain and survive...to see how a human brain which has been modified by them (they did that to me years ago) could grow and progress under that modification. You don't know my mind and mental processes...but I love children; have had many opportunities to kill attackers in combat situations, yet did not do so; I love pets; won't even hunt because I can't conceive of killing God's creatures unless I were starving, just to survive; and I have steel-nerved control over these reflexes.

Just thought the above might be interesting to you, to know about.

Dear Mr. Stram:

I regret to say...that I must, for the sake of a demonstration...block, and stop, the Kansas City Chiefs from...this 1970 season...with my mind...from attaining World Championship status again this year.

In other words...from this moment on, your team has no chance whatsoever of becoming World Champion. And it might never, from this time on, because "PK" grows, once it is once used...as the Philadelphia Eagles found out. Not only did I wreck their team; get Kuharich fired; put Wolman into bankruptcy...but this has continued...as you know the Eagles have just been "frozen" in a sort of limbo, etc.

Of course you won't believe this...that a man's mind...could wreck your fine team. It would only be human to disbelieve it. For nothing like it has ever existed.

What you can expect: A season of unprecedented fumbling, bumbling, strange freak accidents and injuries, all causing games to be lost. It will be weird. And that's how you will know...that "PK Man" is doing it with his mind.

I could not, of course, put on this demonstration with a weak team. It must of necessity be the toughest and best team in the world...and that happens to be your team.

I respectfully suggest...that you do not throw this letter away...file it...and remember it.

You might as well know something further...I control pro football. Last season I was instrumental in controlling various pro football teams. This is a plain fact. Check with the owners of the Miami Dolphins; with the coach of the Jets, or Namath; and the Phila. Eagles staff. I told them in advance of the season what to expect.

I also control pro basketball; but that's beside the point, and not important here.

It will be a strange, weird game when you play the All Stars, because my control will begin in that game. You just might win it, if you are lucky...but it will be at high price. However, power from another dimension...will be working against your team...in that game on July 31st.
